About Daiwa Japanese Language Training Center, Inc.

Before enrolling to any Language Training Centers, do know that...

  • Japan has been experiencing a decrease in the nation's birthrate and rapid aging of the population, forcing the country to open their market to foreign workers to make up with the lack of domestic workers.

  • Foreign workers are now guaranteed to receive the same income as Japanese nationals due to the change of the system utilized, from the Technical Intern Training System to the Specified Skilled System.

  • If a Specified Skilled Worker were to meet a certain condition, he will be granted the right of permanent residence, giving him the freedom to pick his workplace and place of residency. To add, the same worker will be able to bring his family to Japan.

  • For an applicant to be considered eligible as a Specified Skilled Worker, he would need two requirements:

    • The acquisition of a certificate proving your proficiency in the Japanese language

    • The passing of the skill test under the field the applicant wishes to work in

  • Guidance to pass these two tests will be provided by excellent Japanese language training centers. Unfortunately, majority of the the said centers in the Philippines possess low quality instructors and a subpar curriculum. To add, most of these institutions lack knowledge about Japan and the system regarding accepting of foreign workers in the country.

Since acquisition of the requirements is not enough to guarantee the applicant's employment, we would like you to note the hurdles an applicant needs to overcome in order to gain the eligibility to work in Japan as a Specified Skilled Worker (SSW):

  1. The passing of the interview conducted by the Accepting Company

    • The interviewer will be testing your Japanese conversation skills by asking you out of the blue questions. Not being able to properly comprehend the interviewer's question, and not knowing the proper way of answering it in Japanese will slim your chances on passing the interview.

  2. The selection of the Japanese language training center you wish to enroll at

    • One must make sure that the said school will be partnered with International Manpower Agencies that have strong ties with Registered Support Organizations and Accepting Companies from Japan.

    • The reason why this must be kept in mind is because, even if an applicant were to gain native-like Japanese conversation skills, his opportunities for receiving interviews or the quality of his employment at Japan would be drastically low if he chooses to inquire to a Sending Organization without strong ties with the Japanese or only have low quality Accepting Organizations as partners.

    • It's also important to know whether the Sending Organization has a system that can share information of your profile to Accepting Organizations and Registered Support Organizations.

Our Japanese language training center fulfills the conditions stated above.

Why take the time to study Japanese? Studying Japanese comes with multiple benefits that can make you grow not only in the Philippines, but as well as overseas. Below are just some of the advantages you can have by being proficient in the language.

1. Professional Career

  • The learning and mastering of a language gives the learner an advantage when compared to other individuals who can only speak one. Not only does it give the learner a head start on their impression from the corporation they wish to apply to, it also expands the career choices they can take.

  • It's also worth noting that the increase of job opportunities and choices will not be limited in the Philippines because Filipinos who are known for their high level English proficiency will be in demand from various countries if they were to master a language such as Japanese.

(ex. working as a Japanese translator at an English speaking country or working as an English teacher at Japan)

2. Social, Culture, and Values

  • Having the ability to communicate with Japanese people brings with it the creation of connections, establishment of friendships, and deepening of relationships with Japanese nationals.

  • English isn't as developed in Japan compared to other countries like the Philippines, hence why Japanese is needed in order to develop these kinds of connections.

  • Through the continuous communication with the Japanese, one can learn and appreciate the difference of culture and gain the ability to look at things from various perspectives.

3. News and Entertainment

  • As long as it was made and produced in Japan, television shows, movies, literature, and other forms of entertainment will always be in Japanese.

  • These works, though famous world wide, are not guaranteed to receive an English translation causing people to miss out on a number of great works.

  • The same could be said with news happening in Japan, but in a much graver state, because not all news outlets in Japan receive an instant English translation.

  • By learning Japanese, you can be updated on current affairs relating to the country or be the first to enjoy these kinds of works directly from the source.

4. Living in Japan

  • If you were to live in Japan, you would need at least conversational Japanese in order to figure your way in the country because knowing English will not guarantee you the correct exchange of information you have with Japanese nationals.

  • Since Japan only speaks Japanese, learning the language is needed to enjoy your stay in the country.
